Dim Screen Trouble in 2022 Mini

Just picked up a 2022 Mini and I'm a bit worried about something. I've noticed a few times that the display screens have dimmed so much theyre barely lit. It seems like the brightness keeps changing depending on the lighting, similar to how our phones adjust with auto-brightness, yknow? Is this a feature in Minis or some kind of bug?

You're right it's similar to how a smartphone screen works. That's just a feature. No need to worry about it.

That's definitely a feature. When the light sensor gets dark, the lights will adjust accordingly. Also, when the light sensor sees light, the dash lights will get illuminated. To me, it is a cool feature, especially when you have tinted windows.

I experienced the same thing with my Mini, it’s the ambient light sensor adjusting brightness. You can tweak it in the settings menu.
