Loving my new Mini SE for city adventures! The range might be on the shorter side, but for scooting around town with the wife and minimal luggage, it's been perfect. We usually top up the battery every 2-3 days or so, which works great for our in-town errands.

Today was a different story though! Wife left her phone at work, and fetching it meant pushing my self-imposed charging limits a bit. I made it back home with 19% on the dash and for the first time, I got a little nervous.

So, question is how low can you really go? The gauge hits 0%, but will the car keep rolling until then, or will it sputter out at some higher level (like 5%)?

Ours has a total capacity of 32 kWh, but only about 29 kWh (or 90%) is available for regular use. This buffer helps protect the battery from damage that can occur during infrequent events like fast charging or running the battery extremely low.
