is EV servicing at dealers worth the cost?

Just had my first service on my EV at the dealer after 2 years, and wow! Is it really this expensive or just my dealership? Anyone else out there wondering if they'll keep taking their electric cars to dealers once the warranty's up? Seems like a lot for a basic service. I'm seriously thinking about going to independent shops next time..

How much did it cost you? After my warranty expired, I did the PMS myself. Super easy though. You can look through YouTube if you ever need a hand. Saved me a bunch of time and money in the long run.

Dealer services can definitely hurt the wallet! Honestly, they’re not always worth the cost. In my case, I looked into independent shops after the warranty ended, and I found some awesome, more budget-friendly options that still gave great care!

I felt the same after my EV’s first service, it was surprisingly pricey for what seemed like basic checks. Once my warranty expired, I switched to a trusted independent shop, and the savings were pretty great without sacrificing quality.

That does sound pricey! I get the frustration some dealerships really charge a lot for basic services. I’m also thinking about independent shops once my warranty is up. They can be a lot more affordable and sometimes just as reliable
