Good afternoon! I need an opinion from someone who is using a charge cable extension. Is it safe to use one?
My wall charger's cable is not long enough for my needs. A longer one would be perfect. The reviews I read on eBay and Amazon are not so convincing.
This is why I am asking for a real review. Thanks in advance!

The cable extensions are not compliant with the standard for type 2 cables. At least, this is what I know. I wouldn't connect them to my car at high voltage and for many hours. If I were you, I would quit the idea of getting a charge cable extension, and call an electrician to replace the tethered cable with a longer one.

Also, the connectors connectors need to lock in place when the high voltage is live, which most extensions don't have. They use a weak mechanism, like a push-fit connection. Pretty risky, I would say, relying only on the car and charge point connectors for locking.
