Mini Cooper EV to Gas - Crazy Idea?

Hey everyone, I'm thinking way ahead here, but has anyone ever considered converting an Electric Mini to a gas engine? I'm imagining swapping out the electric stuff once the battery dies. It's a crazy idea, I know, but I'm curious if anyone has done something similar or has any thoughts on it.

Great idea but I don't think it's worth the time and money. Better just buy an ICE vehicle instead.

It would be cheaper to replace the battery than to modify the car.

That’s a pretty ambitious idea...While I haven’t seen anyone convert an electric Mini to gas, reverse conversions (gas to electric) are more common. Switching back would require major structural changes, sourcing a compatible engine, transmission, and exhaust system, not to mention the challenges with modern electronics. It’d be a wild project, but anything’s possible with enough creativity and resources...
