So I’m itching to activate the rear fog lights on my SE, and I’ve got everything ready to go. However, I’d need a bit of guidance before diving in. Anyone here done this and can share a simple, step-by-step guide for DIYing this with Bimmercode? I want to make sure I’m totally clued up before I get started. TIA!

Hey, I’ve done this mod on my SE! It’s pretty simple with Bimmercode. Here’s a quick rundown: First, make sure you’ve got the OBD adapter and the Bimmercode app ready. After connecting, go to the ‘Rear Electronics’ section in the app. There should be an option for rear fog lights in there somewhere. Or maybe at least an electrical lead. Activate the setting, save, and you should be good to go. double-check your electrical and coding after you’re done to ensure everything worked correctly. It’s a fairly quick process, so you’ll be set in no time!

I haven’t personally done it, but I’ve seen a few people in the forum mention success with Bimmercode for rear fogs. One thing to keep in mind—just double-check that your rear wiring is all set for this. Not all models have the wiring fully prepped, so you might need to do a bit more work than just coding. You could test it by accessing the rear light housing and checking the connectors before jumping in with Bimmercode. Also, always a good idea to have the backup feature saved before coding, just in case something glitches!

Hmmmm activating the rear fogs is a great little DIY that’ll add some cool functionality to your SE. If you’ve got a Bimmercode, and the adapter, you’re halfway there already. You might need a bit of coding though. When you open Bimmercode, navigate to the ‘Body Domain Controller,’ then look for the rear fog light setting, just enable it, save, and boom, you’re done! It’s pretty intuitive, but if you get stuck, hit up some YouTube tutorials,, they’ve got great visual guides to follow. Good luck, and let us know how it goes once you get it working!

uhhhh I’m also thinking of activating the rear fog lights on my SE, so I’m curious to see how yours goes! From what I’ve gathered, Bimmercode should make it pretty easy, but like others have said, just be sure the wiring’s all set before diving in. Have you already checked if the light housing is ready for the fog light activation? I’d love to hear how you plan to approach it step by step. Keep us posted, and good luck!
