Has anyone figured out how to turn off those warning sounds when running the Mini through a car wash? I get it, they’re there for safety, but the nonstop beeping can be a bit much, especially in an automated wash. I usually hand-wash my Mini, but with winter around the corner, that’s not really an option anymore.

Do you all just put up with it, or is there a setting or trick I’m missing? Maybe something in the settings that temporarily mutes them? Let’s trade tips!

You can usually turn off the warning sounds by adjusting the settings in the car’s menu under safety features.

You have to disable the Park Distance Control. There is a PDC button near the gear selector. Press it right before washing the car, and there will be no more warning sounds.
