Swapping out my BP Pulse smart charger after a year of frustration. BP Pulse support wasn't much help either. So, I'm thinking a dumb charger might be the way to go - simple connection, immediate charge, no time-of-use worries for now. Looking for suggestions on reliable dumb chargers, preferably with some security features like a key card. Any recommendations will be helpful.

I get your frustration with unreliable chargers. it's such a hassle. After dealing with a fair share of charging headaches, I finally decided to switch to the ChargePoint Home Flex. It is a bit expensive. Let me tell you, it was like a breath of fresh air! This charger has both smart and dumb options, which means you can just plug it in and start charging without any complicated setups. The app is super user-friendly, too, and you can monitor your charging sessions from your phone. I’ve had it for several months now, and it’s been incredibly dependable.

Plus, I really appreciate the customer support that comes with it. I had a question about installation, and they were so helpful, way better than my experience with BP Pulse! I think you’d really enjoy the reliability of this charger and how easy it makes the whole charging process. Give it a shot! 😅

I feel your pain about switching chargers. It can be such a challenge when you just want to plug in and go. When I faced a similar situation, I ended up getting the EvoCharge EVSE, and it has been a fantastic decision! The charger is straightforward, no fancy apps or complicated settings required. Connect it, and you're good to go! It’s been a reliable workhorse for me, charging my Mini quickly. it's weather-resistant, so I don’t have to worry about rainy conditions.

What really won me over was the optional key card feature for security. It’s comforting to know that I can lock it up and prevent anyone from using it when I'm not around. I had a friend who had his charger stolen, and that just made me more cautious. The EvoCharge has really given me peace of mind while I charge up my Mini, and I think it could do the same for you. 😎

Switching from a smart charger to a simpler option sounds like a smart move, especially if you’ve had frustrations in the past. One charger that keeps popping up in conversations is the Schneider Electric EVlink. Everyone I've talked to who owns it raves about how reliable and user-friendly it is. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of a smart charger, which is kind of the point, right? Plus, its durable design means it can withstand all kinds of weather, so you don’t have to stress when it’s raining cats and dogs outside.

I think it’s great for something with security features like a key card, too! Many of us worry about our charging stations being used by others when we’re not around, so that added layer of protection is a fantastic idea. If you’re open to it. Maybe there are even more reliable options that people swear by! 😁

If you're searching for a simpler, no-fuss option, you should definitely consider the Grizzl-E Classic charger. The charger is built like a tank, and it’s straightforward to install, great for people who just wants to plug in and charge. You can adjust the amperage to fit your charging needs, which is fantastic for those days when you're in a hurry and need a quick top-up. I’ve been using mine for a while now, and I can't tell you how relieved I am not to have to fuss with settings every time I want to charge. 😊

The security feature with a key lock is also a great bonus! I remember the first time I used it. I felt like I was locking up a safe! It's nice to know that when I’m out, my charger is secure. Plus, it handles everything from daily charging to long trips beautifully, which is a huge relief. If you do decide to try it out, I'd love to hear how it goes. Charging doesn’t have to be a pain
