Mini a Zappi charger, Harvey solar/battery setup, and Octopus Go and I'm feeling totally lost! Basically, I'm trying to figure out how to get everything to play nice together especially when it comes to charging times. Does the Zappi handle scheduling or do I need to sync it with my Mini's app? And how do I integrate Octopus Go's off-peak rates into this whole solar-powered puzzle? Anyone got a simple breakdown for a beginner? Plus, I'm struggling to connect to Octopus Go, so any troubleshooting tips would be a lifesaver!

Hey! The Octopus Intelligent connection to BMW/Mini is still having some hiccups. Mine’s not playing nice either. I don’t have a Zappi, but I set up my charger separately from the Mini and since Octopus is acting up, it’s also not linked to the Octopus app. I’m just using the charger’s schedule to control everything instead of relying on the car or Octopus to sort it out.

With a Zappi, just set the charging schedule in the MyEnergi app, and have your car ready to charge. It’ll start at your chosen time, either during cheap tariff hours or when solar power exceeds 1.4KW on eco plus.

Use MyEnergi app for scheduling, not the Mini's app. And if you want to catch the Octopus Go rates, set the boost times for 12:30 - 4:30. Then set Eco+ mode during daylight.
