I switched to the Octopus 12M fixed tariff

I wanted to share my recent experience with Intelligent Octopus Go. Even though my electricity costs were going up, I found out that I could switch my gas to the Octopus 12M Fixed tariff. I simply contacted Octopus by phone, and they sent me a link to make the switch. I just moved my gas from the new rate of 6.16p/kWh to a fixed rate of 5.46p/kWh, which is a nice savings!

I’ve found switching to fixed rates helps save too, especially with rising electricity costs.

yeah right, fixing rates has really helped with rising costs, and switching to the lower gas rate was a good call.

I’ve switched to Intelligent Octopus and completed the setup. Any tips for optimization? The app set the max charge to 80% by default, which I then adjusted.

That's awesome! Good job on switching to a fixed rate. You should check out Octopus's smart plan for your electricity. You can save money by charging your car at night.

That’s great. I’d recommend experimenting with charge times based on your energy usage patterns to maximize savings during off-peak hours.

Thanks. I’ll look into the smart plan. Charging at night sounds like a great way to save even more.
