Any update on this? Have you tried @MiniDriveR2024 suggestion?

    Mini PMS

That range increase is exaggerated but any improvement is a positive sign. The brake fluid flush seems like an unnecessary expense and service costs can be high depending on the dealer and what they try to upsell.

Charger unplugged even when car’s locked

how's it going with those car settings? Did you manage to figure them out? Did you try anything new or are you still trying to get to the bottom of it?

    Charging Mini Cooper SE Outside

You can use that Flexible Fast Charger but it's not made for permanent outdoor living. Would you leave your phone charger plugged into an extension cord outside in the rain? Probably not, right? That Flexible Fast Charger is more for those 'oops I need a quick charge moments not a daily driver...

Can I open the door without shutting off the Mini Cooper SE?

I think my car's seatbelt alarm keeps dinging even if I open the door while I'm still buckled. But if that's how yours is too, maybe try clicking the passenger seatbelt into the driver's side before you open the door?

    Mini se dc charging

My Mini SE (20k miles) needs its 3-year service in April, and I just realized I've never even tried fast charging! So, I went to a 150kW charger, but it only hit 30kW and then dropped to 27kW. I started at 37% and only got to 40% before I gave up – not worth the cash for such a tiny bump. Is...

I noticed the charge percentage no longer appears on the display

Try pressing the button on the end of the left stalk to cycle through the display options. I haven't tested the intermittent wipers yet. I did have to reprogram my DAB radio stations, though.

Mini cooper app not showing car status

Have you tried reconnecting to the main site? My son had the same problem once, and it turned out the BMW USA site was down because of Hurricane Beryl.

Transfer your Gas to the Octopus 12M Fixed plan

I really don't think there's much to worry about. Remember how everyone stocked up on oil after the energy crisis? Well, this winter was supposed to be the big test, and guess what? Like Octopus said in their email, our energy bills were way down – around 35% lower in December and January!

Missing Satellite View in 2024 Mini SE Nav App

My son never had this problem with his Cooper. You should probably take yours to the dealer and have their mechanic check it out. I bet you've heard that from others too!

    The EV switch

I'm finally ditching the gas guzzler and going electric! I'm looking at a 2021 Mini Cooper and can't wait to make the switch. But I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the EV stuff. I'm thinking about getting a home charger, but the cost is a bit scary. Would a regular 3-pin plug work in a pinch? And...

80% or charge it to 100%?

I don't think you need to stress about only charging to 80% every day. It probably won't hurt the battery in the long run. And honestly, on road trips, you'll want to use as much of the range as possible. What really kills batteries is letting them sit completely full or completely empty for a...

@BondJamesBond You might want to check Glow In The Dark Garage YouTube channel for more information. I hope it helps!

    Mini SE squeaky brakes

Sometimes it could be something small like a stick, twig, or even a little pebble stuck in there. I once had a twig, but it didn't really make a squeaking sound. Most likely, a bit of copper grease on the back of the brake pads will fix it.

Reco for 2021 Mini EV compatible chargers?

Complete list? I don't think there's any. But Mini Coopers are compatible with Level 3 DC Fast public charging stations.

Battery Capacity Question for 2023 SE

So, the battery in my car has a total capacity of around 30kWh, but I can only actually use about 28kWh. Even when it shows 100% charged, there's a little bit of extra capacity that's not accessible. I think they do this to protect the battery and help it last longer.

    Mini Electric Hatch charge limit

Just like I've read from other owners, the Mini Cooper SE, and the BMW i3 for that matter, have pretty big buffers in their batteries. This means it's totally fine to charge them to 100% all the time – no need to worry about limiting the charge. My SE doesn't even have an option to set a maximum...

How to maintain your brakes with regenerative braking?

@Mr.Cooper Regenerative braking works a little differently in each car. Some require you to be in a specific driving mode, others have a paddle behind the steering wheel to adjust the level, and some just rely on how you lift off the accelerator. You'll often hear people talk about "one-pedal...
