Anyone else frustrated by the lack of a charge limit setting on the Mini Electric Hatch? The manual says to keep the battery between 10-80% for optimal life, but Mini says tough luck, no such feature. This seems like a dodgy way to dodge warranty claims later on. What are you guys doing to manage your battery health?

I always charge mine up to 100%. That way I don't get range anxiety. I just make sure not to leave it plugged in for too long and keep the battery level above 20% ;)

It seems like charging to 100% isn't bad, but it's best to avoid leaving the battery full for too long. Mini's departure time thing can help with this. While it's a bit annoying to change the time all the time, it's a good way to make the battery last longer.

Just like I've read from other owners, the Mini Cooper SE, and the BMW i3 for that matter, have pretty big buffers in their batteries. This means it's totally fine to charge them to 100% all the time – no need to worry about limiting the charge. My SE doesn't even have an option to set a maximum charge level.
