Can I open the door without shutting off the Mini Cooper SE?

Hey Mini gurus, I know “ignition” isn’t exactly the right word for an EV, but you get what I mean! Every time I open the driver’s side door to let someone out, it seems like I have to restart everything which is kind of annoying.

Is there a way to keep the car running when opening the door so I don’t have to deal with the Heads-Up Display going up and down unnecessarily? Maybe I’m just missing a simple setting? Would love to hear if anyone has a workaround for this!

I think my car's seatbelt alarm keeps dinging even if I open the door while I'm still buckled. But if that's how yours is too, maybe try clicking the passenger seatbelt into the driver's side before you open the door?
