Fixing Octopus Issues on the Mini EV

If you’re as frustrated as I was with the weird errors and glitches caused by Octopus’s Smart Charging feature, I might have a solution for you! After countless attempts to figure it out, I stumbled on a fix that seems to work, at least for me.

Here’s what I did:

• Open the Octopus app and go to the Account & Settings section (the little head icon at the top right on my screen).
• Select Devices, then expand the Intelligent Octopus Go settings.
• Scroll to the bottom, and under Accounts, you’ll find Smart Charging.
• Turn it off.

Once I disabled Smart Charging, all the strange errors stopped. I did get a warning about "losing the benefits of Smart Charging," but honestly, I haven’t noticed any downsides yet. It’s been 5 days since I made the change, and I’ve had 7 small charging sessions without a single hiccup or spurious error.

If you’re dealing with the infamous “Octopus Dance,” this might be worth a try. Has anyone else tried this? Or are there other tweaks that have worked for you?

As for me, I haven't tried it yet, and I am not sure I have seen so many glitches. But in case those will appear, I have this from you. Though, what kind of error and glitches were you getting?
