Frustrated by Sat Nav Zapping my GOM Range

Anyone else see a huge drop in GOM range when using the Sat Nav on their SE? Same trip without Sat Nav shows a much higher range, but using it for directions tanks the GOM by like 15%-20%! I know the GOM isn't perfect, but this makes planning longer trips a pain. Any tips or tricks to get a more realistic GOM range with Sat Nav?

If you're using the built-in nav system, it might give you a more accurate estimate of how far you can go on a single charge because it considers the specific roads you'll be driving on. You could try planning your route beforehand to see if it improves the range.
