So my wife just got her hands on a used 2021 Mini SE and we've got a 7KW home EV charger installed. But shes having a bit of a puzzle with the charging settings. She tried switching to the reduced setting initially but she's only getting around 3.8 KW, and even switching to normal hasn't made a difference. Now we're both scratching our heads over what these low, reduced, and normal settings actually do and how they affect the charging speed. I'm not exactly a Mini expert myself, so any advice or insights would be super helpful right now.

It sounds like there might be a limitation with the charging rate. My advice is to go speak with your installer. Many wallboxes offer varying charging rates. Check to see if there's a setting that is limiting the amount of power sent to your car.
