That’s a nice kit you’re eyeing there. The setup seems well thought out, but I’d be a bit cautious about the fit for a 2023 Mini Cooper SE. It looks like this kit is designed for the F56 3-door Mini Cooper models from 2014 onwards, but there’s not much info about compatibility with newer models, especially electric ones.

The SE’s bumper design might differ slightly due to the EV platform. I mean that could impact fitment. Maybe a drill into the bumper, might work? but I’d double-check with the dealer. maybe look into the SeaSucker Talon? It’s a bit pricey but doesn’t require any drilling and is super easy to mount/remove.

That kit looks solid, but drilling into the bumper sounds like a commitment. If you’re like me and looking to save a few bucks, maybe consider the Thule UpRide or the Saris Bones 2-Bike rack. They’re not as custom, but they both fit well and don’t involve any permanent modifications to your Mini.

As for your SE, the rear bumper setup might be different, especially with PDC, so the VIP bracket might cause issues there. You might want to shoot an email to them for a quick confirmation before committing. If you’re set on that custom look though, it could totally be worth the extra effort.

I love that you’re going for the custom route with this kit! From what I can tell, it’s made for the F56, which means it should fit the 2023 Mini SE since they share a lot of the same body components, but I’d still recommend triple-checking the bumper design just in case.

As for the PDC (Parking Distance Control), it could interfere with the sensors, which is something to watch out for. If you’re cool with the drilling and can live without the PDC, I’d say go for it! Otherwise, a roof-mounted bike rack might save you some headaches.
