My 2023 SE just hit the 2-year mark with a 8K miles, seriously, this thing is fun! The dealer hasn't bugged me about service yet, but wondering if I should be proactive and schedule an appointment anyway? Thinking a checkup might be a good idea for peace of mind. Anyone else get serviced early on their Mini, or should I just wait for the reminder?

With that mileage, just have your tires rotated and check your brake fluids and pads.

Also have a wheel alignment as well. Also check your cabin filter if it already needs replacement, if it isn't that dirty yet, just use a vacuum to clean it and put it back.

I'm not sure about this specific update, but it's probably just a software thing. You can probably get it done during your next service appointment, or whenever you have a chance to stop by the dealership.

I hit 10K miles on my 2022 SE and scheduled a service check early for peace of mind. Turned out they updated the software and checked the battery health. Nothing major, but it felt good to stay ahead. I'd say go for it, better proactive than reactive.
