What’s wrong with my Mini’s Boot?

Hey, so I've been dealing with this annoying problem with my SE's boot lately. I keep trying to lock the car, but the boot just won't stay locked. I swear I had the keys in my pocket the whole time! Any clue what's up with that?

Looks like the key is too close. Stash it somewhere else and try it again.

I always make sure to lock the doors before I open the trunk. It just seems like the right thing to do. It's a shame the car doesn't actually lock them while the trunk is open!

Yeah sometimes, the key fob’s signal can also cause interference if it's too close to the boot. I’d recommend checking the latch and sensor alignment, and if that doesn’t work, try resetting the fob.
